Astroworld by Travis Scott is breaking streaming records, 7 years after its release. The album has officially surpassed the 1 billion mark on Spotify streams, solidifying its place as one of the greatest projects by Travis Scott. This album has proven Travis Scott’s ability to keep his fans’ focus still on him, even if the initial hype is gone.

Another impressive thing is that, Travis Scott joins Kendrick Lamar who has also surpassed the 1 billion streams this year with GNX and DAMN. With this milestone, both Tavis and Kendrick are the only rappers to achieve it.

Travis Scott’s Astroworld wasn’t an individual work, it features major collaborations with Drake, The Weeknd and the late Juice WRLD. The album also achieved a selling record with 537,000 units sold out in it’s first week.

Single “SICKO MODE” has helped Astroworld to its success today with more than 2.5 billion plays. The album’s other tracks like “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” (1.7 billion streams), “CAN’T SAY,” and “STARGAZING” (both topping 800 million) also strengthened its value.

Travis Scott’s latest albums, UTOPIA and Rodeo, are also major successes, but Astroworld defines Scott’s legacy.
