Major awards were won by BTS, Drake and The Weeknd at the Billboard Music Awards 2021.
The event took place on May 23, 2021 with huge performances of many artists including BTS, The Weeknd and more.
BTS won 4 awards at the Billboard Music Awards 2021. Won awards for top duo/group, top social artist, top song sales and top-selling song(Dynamite). The band took all 4 awards for which they were nominated.
The Canadian rapper Drake accepted the award for Billboard‘s Artist of the Decade. The most emotional thing is that he had his son on the stage beside him. “m really self-conscious about my music, and even if I do a good job, I always wonder how I could have done it better,” he said during the award acceptance speech. “I rarely ever celebrate anything. And just for anyone watching this wondering how this happened, that’s really the answer — it’s being so unsure how you’re getting it done that you just kinda keep going in the hopes of figuring out the formula.”
Drake added: “I know I’ve spent an incalculable amount of hours trying to analyze all the things that I’ve did wrong, but tonight for once, I’m sure as hell we did something right.”

The Weeknd also broke a Billboard record with his smash hit ‘Blinding Lights’. Broke the record of Post Malone for having a single continuously, a longer period in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100.
