Olivia Rodrigo has been making headlines all week for her chart-topping breakup song “Driver’s License.”

while so many people are invested in this love triangle, there’s a lot more to know about Olivia!

Olivia Rodrigo’s song “Driver’s License” went number one across almost all streaming platforms! It’s incredible. She’s also gained almost a million new followers on Instagram and caught the attention of other popular artists. 

But many people have been focused on the lyrics in Olivia’s new song and the rumored love triangle between her co-star Joshua Bassett, and Sabrina Carpenter.

The Series, but what some might not know, is that she actually writes music for the show.

It’s no surprise after listening to “driver’s license” and hearing her songwriting abilities, but it’s still extremely impressive, especially for a 17-year-old.

Olivia wrote the song “All I Want,” which her character Nini sings on season 1 of the show. Olivia also co-wrote “Just For A Moment” with Joshua Bassett for the soundtrack.

“All I Want” went viral on TikTok with Olivia even making her own TikTok to the song. And while “Driver’s License” maybe her first chart-topper, “All I Want” actually made it to number 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was later certified gold.

Back in November, Olivia shared the statement “lil song I wrote in my living room is gold! and it’s on a plaque! and my moms shadow is on the plaque too! so cool!”

And while most fans know Olivia from her role on the Disney + High School Musical show, she’s actually been a part of the Disney family since 2016.

From 2016 to 2019, she played Paige on the Disney Channel show Bizaardvark alongside Madison Hu and Jake Paul.  On the statement “I’m Paige and we have a favor to ask. See the subs… nope. Hey guys I’m Frankie, nope sorry. Ahhh!”

Madison and Olivia are still besties, even after the show ended. 

And Olivia also showed off her singing voice on Bizaardvark too. She and Madison sang the theme song together! And while everyone has been obsessing over Olivia’s potential past relationship with Joshua Bassett.

she actually also dated one of her Bizaardvark castmates. According to Us Weekly, she was linked to her co-star Ethan Wacker from July 2018 to August 2019.

But before you start wondering about “Driver’s License” could possibly be about Ethan and not Joshua, Ethan actually replied to a fan about this on TikTok writing “Nope, I treated her well.”

Olivia is a diehard Taylor Swift fan. Over the years, she hasn’t been afraid to flaunt her love for Taylor on social media.

And the last year, she even performed a cover of Taylor’s song Cruel Summer. Naturally, Olivia freaked out when Taylor reposted her cover on her Instagram Story.

Earlier this week, Olivia posted about how excited she was to be behind Taylor on the iTunes charts. And Taylor Swift her self commented on Oliva’s post writing “I say that’s my baby and I’m really proud.”

As a Swiftie and fellow musician, it doesn’t get any better than the queen of beautiful heartbreak songs recognizing your work. And who knows, maybe these two will work together someday, that would be an amazing step in the industry.
