Metallica continues their hard work of making new records.
The heavy metal band Metallica has recorded 10 studio albums until now. Their 10th album is Hardwired… to Self-Destruct, released on November 18, 2016. However, the band has plans to make more records while making each one better than the previous.
Metallica’s drummer Lars Ulrich has teased about their next project, which will be their best album. Speaking to Classic Rock magazine, Lars Ulrich said: “It’s going to be the best album we’ve ever done! Insert the rest of the clichés – it’s the heaviest thing, the coolest…
“But all kidding aside, if it wasn’t because we thought that the best record was still ahead of us, then why keep doing it? In Metallica we love the creative process, and it’s hard for me to imagine that we’ll ever stop making records.”
The drummer also insisted that the band members and himself never compare their previous records with the current one’s, they all represents a certain time period.
He continued: “”I don’t think like that at all. Each record to me is a picture of a time period. 1988, ‘…And Justice For All’, that was what we did and we made all those choices, and I’m happy accepting it.
“Sometimes I think why did we do that and what were we thinking, without necessarily wanting to change it.
“But of the ones that we’ve done, it’s with ‘Hardwired’ that I have the fewest bewildered questions about the choices we made.”
Metallica continues their streak since 1981, founded by James Hetfield, Lars Ulrich. They have inspired many talented young artists including Miley Cyrus, who’s going to make a Metallica cover album.
Miley Cyrus has teased about her first cover song, which is a collaboration with Elton John and Chad Smith.
