The ‘Blinding Lights’ hitmaker released his new music video “Save Your Tears” on January 5, 2021. This is his first single release of the new year which feature his fourth studio album After Hours.
In the new music video the 30 year old singer has done some slight changes to his face, removed his bandages which he used in many MV’s. But he has decided to go with his unique red suit in this video too.
When looking at the MV, it looks like the Weeknd performs at some sort of award show where many invitees covered their faces with masks. Many fans think The Weeknd Disses Grammys where he holds a trophy at a certain time of the video and threw it away.
Some of the fan accusations found on social media.
However, the Weeknd criticized the Grammys for the past few weeks for not letting him nominated for the award show. He claims Grammy’s as corrupted.
There’s some bad news to Grammy Awards viewers, the show has postponed due to highly strict rules implemented in Los Angeles. It supposed to be held on on Jan. 31, the new fixed date is March 14, 2021.
The Grammy organizers have released an official statement regarding the matter. According to The New York Times, the statement says, “The deteriorating Covid situation in Los Angeles, with hospital services being overwhelmed, I.C.U.s having reached capacity, and new guidance from state and local governments have all led us to conclude that postponing our show was the right thing to do,” said the statement, which was signed by executives at the Recording Academy, which presents the Grammys, and CBS, its longtime broadcast partner.
“Nothing is more important,” it added, “than the health and safety of those in our music community and the hundreds of people who work tirelessly on producing the show.”
