In the New interview, Billie i opened up about everything from her new music to the most vulnerable time in her life, to an emotionally abusive relationship she unfortunately experienced.

Billie i sat down for a brand new interview with Vanity Fair for their Vanity Fair Slow Zoom interview.

In this interview, the questions get increasingly personal as the camera gets closer and closer to her face.

Billie’s interview was broken down into four categories: identity, fame, family, and work.

Billie i really didn’t hold back with her answers. While talking about her identity, she opened up about a time in her life when she felt the most trapped.

While Billie doesn’t reveal much about her personal dating life, she did admit she felt extremely trapped in a past relationship. Billie i said, “When I was in a relationship that was very emotionally abusive.”



and Billie went on to talk about being one of the most famous artists in the world.

Billie said the best part of fame is being able to be heard and have a voice and a platform. And while she doesn’t take those things for granted, Billie said the worst part of being famous is never having any sort of privacy ever.

When asked if she ever gets the chance to “forget she’s a celebrity”, Billie said, “yeah sometimes…yeah…I think, when I’m at my parent’s house, scooter in-ground, biking around or like in the ocean…there’s little things, definitely.”

Billie also discussed a moment in her career when she felt most vulnerable, and surprisingly, it was after her historic Grammy wins.

Billie i swept the 2020 Grammys and made history as the youngest person to win all four major categories.

But amid all the shock and excitement, Billie i said she still felt extremely vulnerable.

and billie said, “Getting compliments left at right and at the same time, the entire internet telling me I didn’t deserve it. So it was a weird week, it was very, it was weird. But who got the Grammys? Me.”

And in case you’re a fan who looks at Billie and all of her success and wishes you were her, and Billie gave a piece of advice.

“Don’t wish you were me, it’s not, it’s not what you think and also you don’t want to be anyone but yourself. I cannot stress that enough.”



Yes Billie is right! We are all the only version of ourselves and can make our lives whatever we want them. Billie never fails to impress us with her wisdom considering she’s only 18 years old.

Towards the end of the interview, Billie also discussed her career and what she’d be doing if she wasn’t pursuing music.

And she had quite a few careers in mind if music didn’t work out. Billie revealed that she thinks she’d be a backup dancer or that she’d work at Jamba Juice or Trader Joes.

and billie spoke about how much time she’s spent working on her upcoming album.

Billie i said that the creative process is completely different than when she was working on “When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?”.

She said she’s grown so much as an artist and a songwriter and is extremely proud of the music she’s been creating.
