BTS has released a new single ‘Stay Gold’ aiming the Japanese audience. The single is a featuring for their upcoming Japanese album ‘Map Of The Soul: 7 ~ The Journey ~’. The new single just released today, June 19.

The Japanese music industry is the 2nd largest music industry after the United States. BTS has ranked on the top of the charts in Japan according to mid-year sales statistics from music chart Oricon. BTS ‘Map of the Soul 7’ has remarkable sales in Japan. According to Oricon, 429,000 copies in Japan have been sold.

The Oricon reveals that this is the first time where a foreign group or artist topped their albums charts. 36 years ago Michael Jackson earned the same spot with his iconic, mega-selling Thriller album in 1984.
