The Weekend’s “Nothing Is Lost (You Give Me Strength)” is a powerful and emotive track that is featured on the Avatar: The Way of Water soundtrack. The song explores the theme of resilience and finding inner strength in the face of adversity.
The Weekend, also known as Abel Tesfaye, has long been known for his emotive and often soul-baring lyrics, and this track is no exception. He sings about the struggles and challenges that life can throw our way, and how we can find the strength to keep going even in the darkest of times.
The track’s haunting and atmospheric instrumentation perfectly complements Tesfaye’s powerful vocals. The song builds gradually, starting with a simple piano melody before gradually adding layers of drums, synths, and strings. The result is a soaring, epic sound that perfectly captures the sense of struggle and triumph that the lyrics describe.
