Jada Pinkett Smith has announced she had a relationship with Singer August Alsina during her marriage to Will Smith.
But the Smith couple came together for a special Friday edition of her “Red Table Talk” show on Facebook to share their relationship status with singer August Alsina.
Pinkett Smith said, “We were over. From there, as time went on, I got into a different kind of entanglement with August.”
and Smith explained the separation, “We decided we were going to separate for a period of time and you go figure out how to make yourself happy and I will go figure out how to make myself happy.”
In a radio interview with The Breakfast Club, singer Alsina had proved that he and Pinkett Smith dated during the marriage.
And Alsina said it was with the full-knowledge and “blessing” of Smith.
She said she could see how her lover August “would perceive it as permission – because we were separated amicably”.
The couple has two young children together – son Jaden Smith, 22, and daughter Willow Smith, 20 – both of whom work in the entertainment industry.
