Celebrities has teamed up against the police violence towards Black women.
Many of the celebrities including Cardi B, Billie Eilish, Bruno Mars, Anderson .Paak, Lenny Kravitz, and more have joined forces to create powerful protest signs, which benefits the African American Policy Forum, #SayHerName. The protest sign pieces to be auctioned through the month of November, and can be viewed at Blum & Poe in Los Angeles.
#SayHerName has become a popular campaign that helps the mothers and families of Black women killed by police. “Black women and girls do not fit the most accessible frames of anti-Black police violence, and because of that, it’s difficult to tell their stories in a way that people recognize and remember,” said Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw. Dr. Kimberlé Crenshaw is AAPF executive director and co-founder and founder of Say He.
Amanda Hunt thanked the artists who joined with them to fight for love and equal justice. “We thank all of the participating artists who have shared their creative vision to stand for love and equal justice, and to support this important cause,” she said as the director of public programs.
