Selena Gomez has always made it her priority to help others and
she’s proving that to be true yet again with new education and advocacy campaign.

In case you weren’t aware, May is Mental Health Awareness month.

Selena Gomez is ahead of the game, per usual, and is planning something special for Mental Health Awareness month.

Last September, when she launched her makeup brand Rare Beauty, Selena also started the Rare Impact Fund.

which was launched with the goal of raising $100 million over the next 10 years.

A portion of every product sold as well as funds raised from partners go directly into that fund and back to the community.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Rare Beauty is introducing a new education and advocacy campaign called Mental Health 101.

that’s focused on bringing more mental health services and financial support to schools.

During the month of May, Selena’s brand will be matching $200,000 of donations made to the Rare Impact Fund.

And she posts to Instagram to reveal why this cause is so important to her.

Gomez wrote quote, “I’m so grateful that we get to launch Mental Health 101. This campaign is so close to my heart because of my own struggles with mental health. I know first hand how scary and lonely it can feel to face anxiety and depression by yourself at a young age.”

Selena gomez hopes this program will be a stepping stone for others that she wishes she had and she provided action items for those who want to get involved.

First and foremost they have a Change.org petition that you can sign. It only takes a few seconds.

join the thousands of people who have already signed.

Additionally, Selena started a GoFundMe page for the month of May and it goes up to $200,000.

And finally, she just asked fans to share the post and tag a friend to get the word out.

All pretty easy requests from our singer Selena for a cause that is so important!

Selena will continue to speak out about Mental Health 101 throughout the month of May.

In an interview with British Vogue, she said: “It made me really offended when people were like, ‘Good for her for feeling comfortable in her bigger skin.

“Good for me? … The more the internet and the world care about somebody that’s doing something they’re not used to, they put it on such a high pedestal that then it’s even worse.”

Meanwhile, Billie released her latest song ‘Your Power’ and she recently teased on her upcoming single ‘Happier Than Ever’. Will Billie Eilish appears on the upcoming single with the new blonde hair?

The title for the next album is  ‘Music Of The Spheres,’ which will be the band’s ninth album and a follow up to their 2019 album Everyday Life.

The album will be released through Parlophone Records and Parlophone’s Nick Burgess said the group is still ambitious as this is the beginning of their music career.

Nick told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: “They don’t take anything for granted. Their ambition is to make music as important as the first music they ever made. Chris has this incredible ambition to make music that still resonates with everyone.”

The record label’s  Mark Mitchell added: “It’s kind of unlike previous Coldplay campaigns because before, often there’s been one or maybe two singles and then an album quite quickly.

“I think part of the reason why they are probably still the biggest band in the world is that they’re very conscious of not wanting to live in their bubble.

“When it comes to getting into a campaign, we always have three or four months of conversation about what’s going on now, what’s the best way to approach this record in today’s market. They’re very interested in what other people are doing.”

Coldplay to release New Single

Meanwhile, Coldplay to release their new single ‘Higher Power’ next week. The band confirmed that the track will be dropped on next Friday (May 7) via Parlophone/Atlantic.

The ‘A Sky Full Of Stars’ hitmakers also teased about their new single on Twitter. The band tweeted: “Higher Power is a song that arrived on a little keyboard and a bathroom sink at the start of 2020. It was produced by Max Martin who is a true wonder of the universe. It’s out on Friday 7 May. Love c, g, w & j.”
