Shawn Mendes Foundation will donate $250,000

Shawn Mendes and his foundation have started  Global Citizen Academy on July 14th. A first-of-its-kind leadership partnering with Global Citizen Year. They hope to give experience and knowledge for high school graduates about social impact in the world. Shawn started the foundation in 2019.

Shawn Mendes Foundation’s goal is to create virtual learning platforms, focusing on social issues, such as racial justice, climate change, and human rights.

“Our world needs young leaders now more than ever,” Shawn gave a statement to the press release. “Itā€™s been truly inspiring to watch so many young activists use their voices. By working with Global Citizen Academy, my hope is that we can empower many more young people around the world with the resources and tools they need to make an impact,” Mendes furthermore explained.

The foundation also has job opportunities for mentorship. The deadline for the applicants is on July 30.

Elvis Presley’s only grandson Benjamin Keough died on last Sunday, his mother, Lisa Marie Presley’s manager has confirmed. With local media reporting the death as an apparent suicide.

Benjamin Keough was found in Calabasas near Los Angeles and had a self-inflicted gunshot wound, and police sources told TMZ.

Lisa Marie Presley’s Manager Roger Widynowski gave no details about the death. He said Lisa Marie, was “heartbroken, inconsolable and beyond devastated”.

Widynowski also said that she was “trying to stay strong” for her three daughters.

He is the younger children Lisa Marie Presley had with her first husband, Danny Keough.

Like his famous grandfather Elvis Presley, Keough was a musician who signed a $5 million record contract in 2009.

Lisa Marie very close relationship with her son, whose middle name was Storm, apparently inspired the title track on her third studio album, Storm & Grace, released in 2012.
